New Zealand Hospitality, Tourism, Events Internships - Paid

Hundreds of students and graduates each year are placed into hospitality, tourism or events placements or internships throughout New Zealand. One of our most popular destinations is the stunning Queenstown area which is New Zealand's tourism and extreme sports capital. Hospitality Internships - We can place you into 3, 4 and 5 star properties throughout New Zealand with Auckland being the second most popular choice for hospitality interns after Queenstown. Auckland (where Jon from Intern Options is from) is the largest city and close to great beaches, lots of islands and big for tourism - as it is the arrival and departure point for New Zealand. Tourism Internships - Again we can place you anywhere in New Zealand with the most popular destinations being Queenstown and Auckland. You have a choice of being placed into a paid position in a tourist attraction, tourism operator or travel and tourism company for between 6 and 12 months.

Events Internships - Our events internships are mainly in hospitality or tourism and we can place you into an events position in a conference venue, hotel or tourism attraction. The majority of placements for events in these areas are in Auckland, Wellington and Queenstown. We have some excellent events positions in New Zealand hotels available.

Internships or work placements are available for between 6 or 12 months and all New Zealand positions in hospitality, tourism and events are paid positions. Your wage will be set by your employer, so each property will be different but you will be paid between NZ$12 and NZ$18 per hour. For accommodation - there is the possibility of subsidised staff accommodation if you are working in a hotel or resort, but each employer is different so we cannot guarantee this.

Australian Hospitality Programme - Paid

Our Australian Hospitality Internship programme has been designed by hospitality professionals to give you the kick start you need in an internationally recognised destination. Australian hospitality placements are available Australia wide with the majority of placements on the East coast of Australia and Melbourne where the weather is stunning and the beaches are sunny and the water is warm and unpolluted. Internship positions are available in hotels, restaurants and resorts for 6, 9 or 12 months long. We only place into the best four and five star properties so you are assured of a top quality placement that will have future employers snapping you up.

Your wage in either resort, restaurant or hotel will usually be between AU$12 and AU$20 per hour. Accommodation is often subsidised staff accommodation but this is down to the individual employer so we cannot guarantee this.
