Andrew applied for an Events internship on the 29th of January 2010. We have already found Andrew a placement which was lightening fast. It also meant I was too slow in getting Andrew’s profile up on our blog.

So tomorrow morning Andrew will be speaking with an Australian charity on the phone to secure his internship. Andrew will be starting in March this year and completing a 15 week internship in Sydney.

Andrew is currently in Auckland (where Jon from Intern Options from *sigh*) and the weather is in the 30′s, yes another sigh!

Andrew has a little events work experience on his CV. This will be a great internship in Sydney. Intern Options have placed interns with this charity in Sydney previously and all have had great things to say about the charity and the work they were given.

The three top objectives Andrew wanted to achieve during his event planning internship were:

• To broaden my experience of event organization and management, particularly in the variety of events managed.
• To develop my skills in event management by being involved in all areas and stages of the process.
• To better my understanding of implementing clients’ needs.

So we should find out this week that Andrew has been offered his events internship in Sydney. We wish Andrew all the best and we know this will be a very valuable piece of work experience to have on his CV. He can also continue to work on his tan in the summer sun in Sydney.
