Stu’s Film Internship Update!
Well I arrived safe and sound after a 26hour flight, not that bad… I recommend Singapore Airlines!

Accommodation – Loving it!
Settled into my accommodation which I found via the Summerstay application, I strongly suggest them, all Bills are included, even broadband. The view from my room is stunning, right across Maroubra towards the centre of Sydney its great during the day and even better at night. So naturally I spent the first few days relaxing and getting to know my new housemates for the next 4 months, who are fantastic.
Made a trip to my new employer on the Friday, so I knew how to get there Monday…. A quick tip, DONT go in Shorts and T-shirt, doesn’t make the best first impression!

First Day of the Film Internship!
…Monday arrives, 7:30am left my house, 1 bus and 1 train later (Get a travel 10 ticket and a 7day train pass or whichever suits you best) I enter my first day of work and it was a whole heap of fun! The office I work in is located in Koragah which is in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney.
Straight into work, no tea making etc… which I was thankful for. First day I spent getting orientated in the office, meeting the people I’ll be working with for the next 4 months. Only a small office so that was easy. Rest of the day was spent doing “Tech Checks”. Pretty much watching 4hours of footage and picking out any editorial errors, was really informative.
Second day was pretty much a continuation from the first however I did spend a few hours time coding footage from the Great Barrier Reef which was pretty amazing to do.
Third day was spent getting acquainted with Adobe Photoshop, After effects and Premier plus. Which was kind of tiring to a degree as there was a fair bit to learn and pick up on. No hardship though!
Enjoy!
