Anna-Marie applied for her Sydney film internship in January. Although Anna-Marie had not studied film, she had a little bit of good experience on her CV, enough to catch an Australian companies eye.

Below are some comments from Anna-Marie about why she choose Sydney and what she is looking forward to in Australia:

It’s probably a very obvious answer, but I am definitely looking forward to the Aussie weather! I could do with a change in climate!  I’m also looking forward to a change in life style and pace. Coming from a small Island, I miss the buzz of a large city, which I adapted to at University, and I’m excited about being somewhere that doesn’t shut down at 12 o’clock!

I love London and the atmosphere, but I really wanted to travel abroad and to live and work somewhere with a completely different culture and way of life. After learning about Intern Options, I realised that Australia would be the perfect location to achieve this whilst gaining experience in a field that I hope to continue as a career.

After studying Performance Design at University, I decided that I wanted to focus on the Film and Production industry and would need to gain experience in all fields to successfully make it in the business. I am thrilled with what my Internship has to offer, it gives me the opportunity to experience all areas of production and see a project through from start to finish.

As I am still new to it all, I am really pleased to be offered such a variety of tasks and duties and I am hoping to give everything a try and discover where my main strengths lie! Not only will this Internship give me a sense of direction for the future, bit it will also look great on my CV!

And yes my friends are very jealous of my Australian adventure, but hopefully they will start saving their pennies and will come and visit me!
