Martin’s Marketing Internship – 6 months in Sydney
University: Bournemouth University
Course: Business Studies
Heading to: Sydney, Australia
For how long: 6 months
Starting: June 2010
Programme: Marketing Internships programme
We first met Martin at the end of 2009 with his father in our office. It was great to talk through the programme with Martin and his dad.
On Friday Martin had his phone interview for a very good marketing internship in Sydney. The company Martin interviewed for we have placed many interns into before, all having great things to say about the company.
After reading over the tips sheet we sent Martin on doing phone interviews, it sounds like he did a great job. We will find out on Monday if he got the internship position.
If you’re interested to read the tips on how to do a phone interview, click through to the Phone Interview Tips article on our blog for more information and practical tips.
From here we will have plenty of time to help Martin with his visa application, looking at flights, insurance, accommodation options in Sydney and setting up his free Australian bank account.
Martin is required to do a 12 month placement by his placement office at Bournemouth University.
We have placed Martin into a 6 month marketing internship, as this is the longest we can place with one company on a working holiday visa. After the first placement we will guarantee Martin a second consecutive marketing internship for 6 months. Otherwise he can find his own paid marketing job to satisfy his placement office, or he can return to the UK to finish his second six months.
If you’re interested in a placement year marketing internship or a graduate marketing placement, check out the Marketing Internships page for full details on the programme and example marketing internship company and positions descriptions.
