Jackie’s Sydney Finance Internship – Update

Just had a great email update from one of our Interns I though was worth sharing.

Jackie is on a Summer Internship in the finance department of a Sydney based security firm.  She is from Durham University currently doing a Mathematics BSc degree (Hons).  Jackie started in early June and will be back in the UK for ready to start the new year of university with some great finance experience on her CV.

Hi Jon,

I’m having a fantastic time in Sydney! I’ve been put in a great house in Surry Hills, with lovely housemates, which is really near to work so I can walk everyday; and the internship is wonderful – there are 6 other interns in the company and we have weekly lunches which are a lot of fun.

I’ve been really lucky with everyone I’ve met so far and am really having a brilliant time and have settled in well.

Thank you so much for helping to organise everything – I’m simply so happy to be here and looking forward to another 3 months in Sydney!Sydeny Opera

    Hi Jackie, a quick question, what kind of finance internship are you doing in Australia? I have been trying to find a finance internship in London for months but keep getting rejected. I have even had a friend try and get me a job at Barclays but they aren’t even taking on unpaid interns!

    I would love some more information on what you are doing in Australia, always wanted to travel to Australia.

If you want to have a look at our Finance Internship page you will see a range of company and position descriptions you can have a look at. We can’t place into a bank in Australia but we can place you into the finance department of a company (like Jackie) or into a finance/ investment company in Sydney or Melbourne.
